AnyThink Tutoring provides individualized instruction to help students not only succeed in mathematics, but learn to think like mathematicians. Founded by Vanderbilt mathematics graduate Jacob Busby, our approach focuses on developing a deep understanding by building skills gradually and intentionally, rather than simply preparing for the next test.

Math is like a building, you have to build up from a strong foundation. For a building to stay sturdy, its foundation must be strong enough to support everything being built on top of it. Math is the same way, you need to have a solid understanding of certain concepts in order to learn deeper and more complex material.

Our methods give students a new way of looking at math that can help them truly understand it. In school, students are often taught a myriad of ways to solve equations that don’t carry over to more advanced mathematics classes. We teach three methods that students can use for solving any math problem that is thrown their way. Instead of memorizing countless ways to solve equations, we teach techniques for solving problems a student has never seen before.

Our goal is for students to walk away from our tutoring with a sense of inpendence. We enable students to improve their grades, as well as their math skills and confidence levels. Eventualy, your student will be able to solve problems on their own, without our help. We intend to provide the tools and logical reasoning skills that school alone cannot offer on an individualized basis.
